Using Linux on Windows - Part 1
I have been impresed by an amazing tool that can help you run linux operating system on your windows machine.
It's VMPlayer a product of VMware which is freely distributed and allows you to create a virtual machine very easily and run it on your Windows or Linux OS.
The steps are described in the article found at the following URL and it can be applied using any linux distribution, just download VMPlayer and Linux Ubuntu to get started, and enjoy.
Using Linux on Windows - Part 2
For those who are interested in creating virtual machines and using it with VMPlayer I found an intersting online tool that enables you to create your virtual machine in just seconds which the time required to input the configuration for your new virtual machine.
The tool name is EasyVMX and you can find it here:
you can use the tool in one of three modes (easy, super and expert) you can always start with the easy mode which will enable you to create the machine without knowing the many parameters available to customize the machine.
The next step if you didn't done yet is to download an iso image for Ubuntu and you can use it directly from your machine as the source for the CD drive (you will find this option when creating your virtual machine using EasyVMX) or you can burn it to a CD.
